Paintings
A pet portrait for my best friend, Megan. I was thrilled to surprise her with this special piece. It was incredibly rewarding to see my painting capture the charm of her adorable pet. I used acrylic paint on an 11" x 14" canvas, completed it in February 2024.
This piece has evolved significantly over the years. The wall mural above, created in 2018, showcases my early artistic journey before I had fully refined my skills. The recreation on the left, completed in 2022, demonstrates my growth as an artist, rendered with acrylic on a 22" x 28" canvas.
For my figure drawing class final project, I had the opportunity to exercise a lot of creative freedom. I chose to paint a portrait of myself with my dog. Using acrylic on a 22" x 28" canvas, I completed the piece in December 2023.
I created this piece for one of my first college art classes, and my sister affectionately named it 'The Bubble Girl.' After enjoying it for a couple of years, I decided it was only fitting to gift it to her. I used acrylic paint on an 18" x 24" canvas, completed in November 2021.
For another birthday gift, I created an adorable pair of pup-themed drink coasters. This project was such a delightful experience that I hope to do more of in the future. I used acrylic paint on wood coasters, completed in June 2024.
This wall mural, which took a few months to complete, was finished in April 2021. My best friend came up with the concept and entrusted me to bring it to life on her wall.
This was my first-ever commissioned piece, finished in 2021. I used acrylic on a 22" x 28" canvas.
This painting for my sister is something I’ll always consider a work in progress. To me, any empty space means there's room to add more. I started by layering clumps of paint with a palette knife and then added doodles with Posca pens. Many of these doodles symbolize special aspects of my relationship with my sister. The piece is on a 22" x 28" canvas, 'finished' in March 2023.
My first pet portrait for my Aunt’s fur baby. Her dog, Harper, was obsessed with golf balls so it was necessary that I included them. I used acrylic on a 16" x 20" canvas, finished in March of 2022.
A triptych painting I did on 3, 8" x 10" canvases. One of my favorite movies, Alice in Wonderland, inspired this piece. I used acrylic and completed this for my first college art final in December of 2020.
This piece was a homework assignment for my figure painting class. Having never used oil paint before, I enjoyed the opportunity to explore a new medium. The assignment required us to paint a close-up of a facial feature, and I chose to depict my ear. The painting was done on an 18" x 24" canvas.
I painted this piece as a gift for my parents. It features my childhood teddy bear by a lake where my family used to camp when I was young. Completed in October 2021, I used acrylic on an 8" x 10" canvas.
